Japanese people lose the desire for sex

What happens in the Japanese bedrooms? Or maybe rather: What happens there in the Japanese bedrooms? The question, the authorities in Japan itself after a new study reveals that the desire for sex has fallen sharply among both young and elderly.
Never had a boyfriend
It is a big problem in a country where the birth rate is already low and the number of elderly is increasing rapidly.
“The main reason for the decline in births is simply that people do have sex,” said Kunio Kitamura, head of the Japanese center for family planning, according to AFP.
36.1 percent of all teenage boys between 16 and 19 years, says the survey that they either do not feel like or directly despise sex.
It is more than double compared to a similar survey from 2008 when only 17.5 percent of teenage boys said the same.
83.7 percent of Japanese men, who turns 20 this year, had no girlfriend, and 49.3 percent of the 20-year-old men said directly that they had never had a boyfriend.
Would not
Kunio Kitamura believes that the study confirms a long-debated contention that young Japanese men were indifferent to sex and women.
“The study shows that the relationship has become more superficial in our busy society,” says Kitamura.
40.8 percent of all married couples say they have not had sex in the last month, in 2008 the figure was 36.5 percent and in 2004 it was 31.9 percent.
For people above 40 years says every other married man that he has not had sex in a month.
One of the most common explanations?
“I simply do not bother, ‘says the men in the study, according to AFP.
